Located in Longueuil, SOSEQUIPMENT specializes in the rental and sale of lifting and handling equipment. The company also offers its customers equipment repair and maintenance, parts service, transportation, as well as training to obtain an operator card.
The parts department clerk ensures that mechanics and technicians have all the equipment necessary for the smooth running of operations. He may be required to provide customer service, be responsible for purchasing, perform inventory control and manage orders. The schedule will be 40 hours per week, spread from Monday to Friday during the day.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Receive and sort parts and supplies;
- Manage physical location, label items in an orderly manner and so that they are easily accessible.
- Process incoming requests and route or distribute parts and supplies from the mechanical department;
- Maintain records of orders and the number, type and location of parts and supplies available using a manual or computerized system;
- Prepare orders to replenish parts and supplies reserves;
- Ensure inventory control and parts withdrawal;
- Maintain the parts department and recommend ways to improve efficiency and reduce mechanic downtime and provide an optimal level of service.
- Follow-up with customers, work orders, account opening, quotes, etc.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
Required qualifications:
- Have more than 3 years of experience in a similar position, ou have completed a DEP (mechanics or parts), or Knowledge or experience in mechanics
- Bilingual
- Good interpersonal, committed and collaborative relationships
- Structured/organized; work efficiently to tight deadlines
- Ease and comfort with computers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Forklift license (an asset)
- Autonomy; Sense of organization and resourcefulness
- Good planning and organization; ability to manage priorities
- Good communicator; comfortable with customer service and teamwork
