Based in Longueuil, SOSEQUIPMENT specializes in the rental and sale of lifting and handling equipment. The company also offers its customers repair and maintenance services, transport services, and training to obtain an operator card.
The mobile unit’s mechanic will be called upon to perform repair and mechanical maintenance tasks primarily on the road, at the construction sites where the lifting equipment has been rented, such as lift platforms and cranes.
So, your environment will constantly be changing. Your days are never the same, and there are many beautiful challenges to face in this position. Your days will be spent between our Longueuil workshop and various construction sites on the North Shore, in Montreal and on the South Shore, and sometimes in slightly more remote areas, such as Centre-du-Québec, Mauricie, Estrie and Quebec.
Main responsibilities
Check the work request described in the service call
Traveling to construction sites with our mobile unit
Inspecting and diagnosing equipment at its rental locations, on construction sites
Carry out the necessary repairs (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, etc.)
Work in collaboration with the service department to obtain the necessary parts
Identify work that is still under warranty
Test the repaired equipment to ensure it is working properly
Completing various documents (work orders, inspection reports, etc.)
Keep your environment clean and safe at all times
Maintain and clean your service truck to keep our equipment sparkling
Ensure exceptional collaboration, communication and customer service
Any other related task
Profile required
DEP in the field of mechanical engineering for construction machinery, heavy equipment, automotive mechanics, industrial mechanics, or equivalent
Possess more than 3 years of experience in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, diesel or gasoline engines, or in road service
Knowledge of mechanics (heavy equipment, platforms, nacelles), an asset!
Relevant knowledge or experience in electricity, hydraulics and diesel engines
Ability to analyze a mechanical problem and to make a diagnosis
Committed to providing excellent customer service on a human level
Ability to manage priorities and work under pressure
