Your role
Are you capable of handling multiple emergencies at once and do you understand that every minute counts in the field? We are looking for someone who will ensure that operations never stop due to a lack of parts.
Does a mechanical workshop environment with machinery appeal to you? Do you thrive on ensuring strategic supply?
The Parts and Procurement Manager is responsible for ensuring the Fast and optimal parts availability necessary for operations, while maintaining a balance between inventory, costs, and efficiency.
This role is highly operational and action-oriented The person must manage real-time priorities, support field teams, and make quick decisions.
Work Monday to Friday, daytime.
Main responsibilities
Operational Parts Management
- Ensure the availability of critical parts for operations
- Respond quickly to emergencies (rental requests, customers waiting)
- Prioritize internal requests by operational impact
- Actively support service teams to avoid delays
Inventory Management
- Maintain optimal inventory levels
- Identify critical parts and adjust storage strategies
- Monitor inventory turnover and eliminate surplus
- Implement simple and effective inventory management practices
Procurement and suppliers
- Manage orders from suppliers
- Negotiate prices, deadlines, and terms when necessary
- Quickly find alternatives in case of shortage
- Develop effective relationships with key suppliers
Support and collaboration
- Work closely with technicians, the workshop, and the service manager
- Supervise the parts clerk
- Ensure efficient organization of the department
- Maintain a high level of internal and external service
Profile required
- Experience in parts management, inventory, or procurement
- Experience in an operational environment (major asset)
- Knowledge of the equipment domain (asset)
- SME experience (a significant plus)
- Strong ability to manage priorities and emergencies
- Speed of decision-making
- Organizational skills and rigor
- Field-oriented and solution-driven
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
