Located in Longueuil, SOSEQUIPMENT specializes in the rental and sale of lifting and handling equipment. The company also offers its customers repair and maintenance of equipment, transport service, as well as training to obtain an operator card.
The truck driver will be called upon to carry out delivery and tie-down tasks between our workshop in Longueuil and the construction sites where the lifting equipment such as lifting platforms and nacelles has been rented. Your days will be spent between our workshop in Longueuil and the various construction sites on the north shore, Montreal and the south shore and sometimes in slightly more distant territories such as; Central Quebec, Mauricie, Estrie, Quebec.
The workplace is on the road, between our Longueuil workshop and the construction sites.
Schedule Monday to Friday daytime, between 40 and 50 hours depending on the needs of the company.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Inspect the general condition of the vehicle and report any anomalies to the transport dispatch
- Load and secure our equipment on the trailer
- Drive a dedicated automatic truck (2022) (mainly in the Montreal area)
- Ensure safe transportation that meets standards
- Complete loading documentation (inspection slip, delivery slip and return)
- Ensure delivery is complete and accurate
- Ensure exemplary communication and customer service
- Inspect the general condition of our rental recovery equipment, take photos, if necessary, when equipment breaks down
- Keep your environment clean and safe at all times
- Maintain and clean your service truck to keep our equipment sparkling
- Know and apply road safety rules
If you meet the following criteria you can submit your CV:
- Have a class 1 driving license (valid) and a good driving record
- Interest in providing excellent customer service
- Passionate about transport and machinery
- Knowledge and comfort with securing machinery
- Able to manage daily schedule
- Autonomous, resourceful and versatile; likes to find solutions to problems
- Reliable and responsible with a good sense of observation
- Experience to drive in the city of Montreal
- Experience in a similar position of driver with 53 foot trailer or machinery
