Located in Longueuil, SOSEQUIPMENT specializes in the rental and sale of lifting and handling equipment. The company also offers its customers repair and maintenance of equipment, transport service, as well as training to obtain an operator card.
The mechanic of the mobile unit will be called upon to carry out repair and mechanical maintenance tasks on the road mainly, on construction sites where lifting equipment such as lifting platforms and nacelles has been rented. So your environment will be constantly changing, your days will never be the same, there are many great challenges to experience in this position. Your days will be spent between our workshop in Longueuil and the various construction sites on the north shore, Montreal and the south shore and sometimes in territories a little further away such as; Central Quebec, Mauricie, Estrie, Quebec.
The workplace is on the road, under construction
Access to the company bonus plan
- Schedule Monday to Friday (with flexibility); 40h to 45h, depending on the needs of the company
Tasks and responsibilities:
Verify the request for the work described in the service call
Traveling to construction sites with our mobile unit
Inspect and diagnose equipment at their rental locations, on site
Carry out the necessary repairs (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical etc.)
Work in collaboration with the service department to obtain the necessary parts
Identify work that is still under warranty
Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operation
Complete various documents (work order, inspection reports, etc.)
Keep your environment clean and safe at all times
Maintain and clean your service truck to keep our equipment sparkling
Ensure collaboration, communication and exceptional customer service
Any other related task
If you have this profile submit your CV:
- DEP in construction machinery mechanics/heavy equipment/automotive/industrial mechanics or equivalent
- Have more than 3 years of experience (mechanical, hydraulic, electric, diesel engine, gasoline, electric) or in road service
- Knowledge of mechanics (heavy equipment / platform / nacelle) an asset!
- Relevant knowledge or experience in electricity, hydraulics, diesel engine
- Ability to analyze a mechanical problem and issue a diagnosis
- Committed to providing excellent customer service on a human level
- Ability to manage priorities and work under pressure
- The taste of demonstrating your expertise and professionalism
- Organizational skills and resourceful
- Rigor, punctuality and organization
- Possess a valid class five (5) driving license
