Training – Overhead crane

LESSON PLAN 

This training is intended for operators, whether experienced or novice, as well as managers and members of the health and safety committee, called upon to intervene in lifting operations, the use of overhead cranes and slings. Its objective is to familiarize participants with the obligations of the employer and the worker, the regulations in force, and the basic principles relating to the safe use of lifting equipment.

We are a training organization approved by the Labor Market Partners Commission for the purposes of implementing the Act to promote the development and recognition of workforce skills (approval number 0055240).

DURATION

  • Theory: 4 hours
  • Practical assessment: approximately 60 minutes per participant

  • Understand the regulations applicable during lifting operations, the use of slings and overhead cranes
  • Understanding the Slinger's Duties
  • Know the different types of slings and their uses
  • Know the different hanging methods
  • Know the components of an overhead crane and their uses
  • Carry out a visual inspection of the overhead crane, slings and/or lifting accessories used in the company
  • Become familiar with the operation of the overhead crane, slings and/or lifting accessories used in the company

  • Visual inspection of the overhead crane and lifting accessories

  • Effects of lifting angles and force distribution
  • Special features and inspections

At the end of the training, each participant will receive a training certificate and an operator card certifying their skills in lifting operations, use of the overhead crane and slings.
