LESSON PLAN
Cette formation s’adresse aux travailleurs, qu’ils aient de l’expérience ou non, et qui doivent utiliser un harnais de sécurité lorsqu’ils travaillent en hauteur. Cela peut inclure l’utilisation d’une échelle portative, un escabeau, un escalier mobile, un échafaud, une ligne de vie horizontale, verticale ou mixte, un coulisseau sur une toiture, etc.
La formation est conforme à la LSST (art. 49 & 51) et vise à enseigner les critères de sécurité nécessaires pour effectuer un travail en hauteur de manière sécuritaire, en respectant les normes, lois et règlements.

OBJECTIVE
At the end of this training, the participant will be made aware of the importance of wearing a safety harness at height. He will be able to identify the different fall arrest mechanisms and inspect the condition of his own equipment.

THEORETICAL & PRACTICAL CONTENT
- Introduction
- Laws and standards
- Statistics on falls from height
- Persons concerned and responsibilities
- Recognition of work at height situations
- Necessary precautions for working safely
- Identification of the different fall risks
- General criteria for using harnesses and equipment
- Verification of fall protection systems: guardrails, inspection and storage of harnesses, anchor points, classification of harnesses, verification of D-rings, lanyard/energy absorber.
- Correct harness adjustment (demonstration)
- Estimated stopping distance required.
At the end of the training, each participant will receive a training certificate and an operator card certifying their skills in wearing a safety harness at height.
